Tyhee Gold Corp. pleased with feasibility study results

Yellowknife, N.W.T. - It appears Tyhee Gold Corporation will be expanding in the NWT, after the company announced that they have received positive results from a feasibility study.

The study was to ensure that the gold deposit in Yellowknife would be strong enough economically for the company to decide to move forward with the construction of the gold mine or not.

Doug Levesque, the vice-president of operations for Tyhee, said that they are still in the process of getting their permits from the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board; he explained what will be next after that's done.

"When the permits are in place, we will be looking at doing the final engineering and the procurement of goods and so, and going from their into our construction phase."

Levesque also said these studies are important for the company when they are taking on a new project.

"It tells us whether we have an economic project or not, if it’s very economic we move forward but if it didn’t show any promise economically this would be the end of the project."

Leveque said the mine will create more jobs for residents in both construction and processing operations.
