Yellowknife, N.W.T. - A group of Hay Riverites who are looking to create a new community space in the town will be presenting their ideas to the public on Wednesday and looking for feedback.

Franziska Ulbricht is part of a group that has been meeting over the past three months to flesh out the idea of a community centre that would host a number of different things.

"Some offices, and a market vendor space, a space for artists, maybe a gallery, and a vertical greenhouse."

Ulbricht said the idea has been brought before council but at this stage they are not looking for funding or any specific support.

"Because this is even before the planning stage, so we're just trying to look for feedback."

On Wednesday night, the group will be making a presentation on their ideas at the library at 7 o'clock and are inviting anyone interested to come and share their suggestions and opinions.
