NewsRCMP investigate break-and-enters in three YK businesses
Yellowknife, N.W.T. - Yellowknife RCMP are continuing their investigation into a rash of break-and-enters late Monday night. According to police, the incidents happened at the W.H. Bromley Building on Franklin Avenue and the victims were three businesses side-by-side. Constable Kathy Law said the investigation to this point shows the suspect did the deed between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight. "The business in the centre had been broken into through the back door. Then they broke through the walls on either side into two other businesses." The businesses affected were Chez Patricia, Vixen Hair Den and the offices of Diavik Diamond Mine. Law said this type of break-and-enter has been seen before, but it's not a common thing in the city. "A few years ago I recall an incident where somebody broke into one of the government buildings I believe it was, and then to get into other offices, tried to break through walls." Law also said there was a small amount of currency taken from one of the businesses, but the amount is not being released right now. If you have any details, you're asked to call Yellowknife RCMP or Crime Stoppers. CJCD Mix 100 News More Local
