NewsArctic Air Season Two shoot wraps up in Yellowknife
Yellowknife, N.W.T. - The cast and crew of Arctic Air returned to Yellowknife last week to begin shooting season two. Production was seen in multiple locations around the city all week, including the hangars at Buffalo Airways, downtown Yellowknife and the Niven Lake area. The unit Production Manager for Arctic Air, Ken Brooker, said that the crew was very excited to return to Yellowknife. “There was a lot of excitement from everyone to return,” he said. “We’ve been received so well in the past. Everyone was real happy to be back, it was very positive. We met a lot of new people this time around.” Brooker said that a lot of extras from within the community were able to make it out to be a part of production. “We had one big day down at Somba K’e Park where we had about 100 extras,” he said. “We actually had 15 or 20 people from the city working with our crew in various departments at various times. We met a lot of new friends, a lot of new faces and it was really a great experience.” Brooker says that plans for their second trip to Yellowknife to continue shooting are still up in the air, but he projects they will be back in town sometime in early September.
